I hear the s2 IM is not a very good IM unless you have a tuned engine...But if you get one, let me know how it goes...
stick it on the dyno

What I've heard is that the H22 Euro R IM is better tthan the S2 IM. I think there's member on here I forgot his screen name 2.6 something.. . he had a Euro R IM bought a S2 IM and it didn't perform the way the Euro R did so he sold it. His motor if fully built though

2point6 is his name. People have all sorts of opinions on the mani's. Some people gain power, while others gain about 1 or 2whp. It all depends on your setup and how you tune. Euro R is a better manifold in the means of most people ive talked to have liked it and been happy, while some skunk2 people hate their IM. The euro R requires some fabbing though.

The Euro R sucks ***** too... Not many people realize that the Euro R IM was meant for a completely different motor with a completely different power band... The runner lengths, diameters and plenum volume were all based around the smaller, higher revving F20B, not the H22...
has anyone flowed the Stock H22 IM against the Euro R IM on a stock H22 head?
You may be a little surpised with the end results
Scott is working on something a little different right now, a new old IM...
Should be interesting to see what comes of his little project

Porting a manifold like that is a big waste of time, you lose power and torque all the way untill about 200 rpm before redline where your lucky to gain +1 WHP
Theres a right way to port a H22 IM, thats definitely not it

If the Euro R sucks ***** then why does Corey use it on his 230whp H22 and 2point6 on his? It seems to be the better choice for highly tuned H22s. Back on topic though, I don't think it's possible for Skunk2 to get CARB approved on that manifold unelss they change the design to incorporate the EGR valve.

ok, so i've got cai/h/ex w/ unorthodox pulleys...and was wondering if i put in a euroR IM, if i would gain anything from it...or would it just be pointless? The engine is pretty much stock, no internal work (cams, pistons, etc).
Prelude 1994-2001 H22A DOHC VTEC 307-05-2250 $398.00 CARB PENDING
taken from s2's website, how can it be pending with no egr??? unless theres a new h22 design???

You wont gain anything but quite possibly lose some low end with stock internals on a Euro R. Do cams and valvetrain and a GOOD EXHAUST setup before you even think about a intake manifold.
Oh and my *** the skunk2 im is carb legal. I cant put some sticker on a product to make people buy more too.

Well, my setup right now is dc header, magnaflow high flow cat, mugen exhaust full piping. So is that a "good" enough setup?
dc header is a pile of **** so no, it isnt. And i think mugen is over priced junk personally. nothing a magnaflow oval cant do. but whatever.
have you done a 2.5 inch collector on that DC header? or is it just stock small *** stamped junk.

I've heard nothing but good things about the skunk2 intake manifold. I'm getting mine in 2 weeks and im going to dyno my car afterward. I have 180 to the wheels right now and I will post what I make after it's on.
Don't ever waste your money on a dc header. I had my car dynoed before and after I got mine on and I only gained 1whp. smsp is the best for an h22 i've heard of gains from 7 to 15 whp depending on what you already have. It's also 800 dollars but well worth it.

Even the F20B has it's own unique IM. I have 2 sitting here...

Don Flores "Don f" has done the flow testing. The results were from most cfm to least... Skunk2, Stock, Euro R.
People have seen gains with the Skunk2 and the Euro R over stock, but they all have limitations and can be improved on for different applications.
