IIRC solid with no flashes is Code 0 - and problem with the ECU itself.

I can't be for sure on the vafc, iirc some of the wires are double tap'd like in a series type deal on the same wire.

keeping in mind its solid because you are checking the code, the light stays solid because there is a problem, it only shows the blinks if the connector is jumped. Is it solid all the time, or solid when you jump the connector

The CEL stays solid if there is a problem, if you jump it and it stays solid its the ECU, if you jump it and it flashes get the code and reply.

To stop it from coming on solid all the time, you have to reset it...negative battery cable or the clock/radio fuse

shorted out or something who knows...I would find a known good one, even an h23 or something just to see if the car starts. Of course don't drive it like that.

Did you check for actual spark? Check for power at the coil?

Have you checked if you are getting a signal to your fuel injectors?

If you can't get the thing to work or don't know to test this things try pulling the code, if it's a hard code I'll tell you what it is and you can go from there

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by dmxsoulja3 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I'm telling you man, solid when jumped is CODE 0 - ECU look it up.</TD></TR></TABLE>

solid when jumped means that there are no stored codes, your ecu is fucked, when you jump the code, and the light does not come on, that's code zero

qouted"
It's complicated. Well, really it isn't.

If you get a solid CEL and jump the connector, and it is solid, that means bad ecu.
If you get no solid CEL, and jump the connector, and THEN get a solid CEL, that means everything is ok.

So If you get an unjumped solid cel, don't turn the car off. Jump it, and read the codes without turning the ignition off.

Intermittant running codes may get reset when you turn the car off, hence getting a "NO CELs" solid CEL."

when you unhooked the vafc, did you take the wires out and then rewire the car back to stock?
