Default overfill bottle

i got a new overfill bottle from autozone today (universal) i was wondering how full it should be? there is no marking or anything on it, do i leave it full so that there is a constant flow into the line leading to the radiator or less than that high?

how much are crx bottles at honda?

i have that overfill bottle too before, when i first got my car, cause the f*cking seller did not tell me that the stock one had a hole on it.. so i went to a honda dealer and they were asking $50 for it.. HAHA! but then again that autozone overfill bottle save my life and got me home without overheating... then i got a deal on a stock one.

P.S: pls excuse my old engine bay pic, that's when i first got the car, minus the spark plug wires. it looks pretty bad before

to answer your question, i fill it half way..

an overflow tank is exactly wut its there for. to catch over flow when your system exceeds pressure desire it will overflow into over flow tank. and then from there when your car is off and pressure begins to drop. it needs the coolant in the overflow tank to return, by filling it up all the way you will just pour coolant out on the floor. YOU SHOULD PUT ABOUT 1/3 FULL OF COOLANT IN THE OVER FLOW TANK. your radiator cap has 2 major components to it. 1. pressure relief valve ( which releases coolant into over flow tank ). 2. vacuum valve ( returns coolant back into system ).

when i took off the radiator cap the coolant was low, so i kept adding water until it got full and that made the overfill bottle full as well?
