Default H22a Type s

I want to do a swap. But I want to run my motor NA. Its my everyday driver so a turbo is out of the question for me. I was thinking about an f20b swap but I've not heard many good things about it. Alot of people swap out with an h22a. Then they go turbo or any other terms of Forced induction. I haven't heard much about the type S other than the fact that the replacement parts are expensive as hell. I was wondering would the wiser choice be to swap for the Type S. Or get the H22a and use the extra money for other parts. OPEN to all opinions.

why are you oposed to a turbo setup? It's a hell of a lot cheaper with more gain and doesn't hurt your reliability at all as long as you keep the boost low. Don't rule it out just because you don't know anything about it.

I do know a bit about turbos. And I know running boost at under 7 psi on stock internals won't cause a enourmous amount of wear and tear. But I also know that a car with a turbo isnt as reliable long term as a car wit an NA motor. I asked for opinions. Glad to have yours man.... Next......

first off how much power are you looking at? if you have deep pockets then swap in a h22 and build the hell out of the motor, but if you want cheap power then boost it at like 5 psi. reliable as any NA car IF ITS TUNED PROPERLY and by a good tuner. keep us updated on ur set-up as it comes along

how much do you have to spend?

assuming you have enough for a type-s or euro-r, i would get a base h22. get cams, euro-r manifold and a good header. youll end up spending the same amount, but have more power. only drawback is that the euro-r has a better tranny.

-=searches the vast internet for info=-

Would the Euro-R tranny be compatible with an H22a? I am not familiar with it at all.
