Enkei RPF1 with Tire MOUNTED WEIGHT COMPARISON WITH PICS
Hey guys,
Wanted to start popping some info here to show our interest in providing cool data to the board. We are a very busy company and sometimes delay in responding. Email is the best way.
Here we will show you guys the difference in weight between three different tires mounted on these wheels. These have not been balanced so that the comparison can be accurate.
Wheel Chosen: 15x7.0 4x100 +41 Enkei RPF1, wheel weighs 9.5lbs

Check these pics out.
Three different tires: ALL 205/50/15
Cheapest - Falken ZE512
Cheap - Yoko ES100
Average - Toyo T1S

Falken ZE-512: 28LBS WITH TIRE

Toyo T1S: 29LBS WITH TIRE

Yoko ES100: 30LBS WITH TIRE

Not too shabby.
Below Quote helps to explain "MAT" Most advanced Technology. Quote was taken from Super Street Online as they have purchased the RPF1 for use on their Integra Project Vehicle.
Requirement: Wheels gotta be lightweight, i.e., less than a pound per inch.
"Why the RPF1 is light: M.A.T., aka Most Advanced Technology uses rim-rolling technology that improves the stiffness of the wheel. The lip is rolled, allowing it to be thinner. At the same time, it’s compressed, allowing the aluminum grain structure to have greater uniformity. Basically, M.A.T. allows Enkei to use the least amount of aluminum without compromising the strength of the wheel. Oh yeah, the 16x7 we’re using weighed in at a svelte 13.7 pounds. Besting my initial requirement of 16 pounds."

We greatly appreciate your patronage. Endless_USA and Enkei Int'l will continue to bring you the best in racing technology.

Here are some pics comparing a 15x7.0 TE37 to the 15x7.0 RPF1, TE retail around $385.00 ea, RPF1 retails around $225.00 ea. You be the judge what's a better value and what you won't have to wait to get. Enkei stocks more RPF1 than Mackin stocks TE's. Meaning less money for product and less wait. You damage a wheel in racing you're more likely to find a replacement right away.

NOTICE THE RPF1 IS 2.5 LBS LIGHTER THAN TE37. That's about 20-25% lighter than the TE37 in the same width and diameter, nearly half the cost.
Hope this helps you guys out.

Thanks guys. We're gonna try and continue to do some stuff like this for ya since we have so much stock as a Wholesaler.
I will seriously get you the Tire Pressures, hehe.
We have received so many inquiries on this wheel that I felt the community should see how great a value it really is.
Laters,
Rishie
BTW, i'm not the only one here who posts on this name. We're sharing it to better handle questions.

Awesome post ! Thank you for taking the time to do that, I would have never known that. I'll definatley take a look into those Enkei's if I ever get another set of rims in the future for light wieght purposes.

sorry, I meant to say the 15's. Because of that little hump on the inside of the wheel, they're basically the same ID as a 14", right near the spokes.
heh, I was wondering why you PM'ed me that link. . .

With the tires.....the Toyo is BY FAR the best out of all of them.
And personally, I would much much rather run the RPF-1's over the TE-37's....such a better wheel with more r&d into...just a better wheels all around. Nice comparison!

The scale does not lie. The TE does weigh that much. The 15" we have in stock is a 15x7 +15 offset. So figure 20mm of difference in offset, but that won't add up to two pounds getting it close in weight to the RPF1. At most maybe a half pound if we're lucky. Either way the RPF1 is significantly lighter.

The TE-37 is forged the RPF1 is not. My set of 15x7's TE-37's weigh in at 10.0 lbs each with a 38mm offset.
