k20a in a crx would it pass a state ref?
i'm just wondering if a k20a would pass the state ref exam...because of this concern and many people have already told me that you can or you can't ref a k20a I'M Leaning more towards the h22a swap since that is ref-able...but i just wanna know out of curiousity plus if it does i may go for that later on down the line.
I dont see why it wouldnt, assuming you had it all wired up like it came in an RSX or Civic Si. Would a JDM k20a pass? I'm not sure about that.
The only advantage I see with the h22 is that you could stay obd1.

If I understand teh CA laws correctly it would pass as long as all of the vaccum lines, electronics, ecu etc is in functioing order as it would be from teh donor car.
Hmm, I am not sure about that for 2 reasons.... However I have yet to do a k20, so I am not an authority by any means.
The kpro being 1, does that fly with the ref?
The second being the fuel regulator/ lines. There is no CARB cert fpr on the market, is there??
What other opinions are out there?

I'm unfamiliar with the k-pro. Is it all inside a standard "K" ecu? or is it something separate, because at the Ref I went to, he just checked to see if it was a P72 ECU. They didnt' open it to see if it was chipped/modded/etc.
Ryan, IM me about the fuel lines and such. I'd like to know what is involved with that.

kpro should be fine, people in Type S' & Si's are passing w/ that installed. Visually it should pass fine, and smog wise the numbers should be close to factory IIRC
The fpr is not located on the fuel rail on a k, correct? So you must run a external? And there is no carb cert external fpr's correct?
Im still learning... but I hear that the fuel sytem differs, and can possibly cause problems at the ref. I would love to know this, someone please post if they can shead some light.
