9003 for 5 gen bulbs

Ok i have a 2000 lude and i was putting bulbs in headlights and every book I looked at said i needed 9003 bulbs, but why do H 1's fit then??

The books were wrong, or you read them wrong, 5th Gens are H1s, high and low.

The 9003's do fit, atleast in my 97.. sorta. you can pull the part the H1 plugs into off of the wiring harness and a 9003 would fit. But, as said above, the housing is setup to have a high and a low bulb.

i jsut ordered head lights for my 2000 sh prelude there are 2 h1 per light and a
nother small light in the bottom left they are 168 bulbs according to honda
