Default Oh what to do next to my RSX Base

well I got a 2002 rsx 5 speed base. As of right now I got my Tein s springs and shocks, n1 catback exhaust, 17" wheels/tires. I am ponderign whether to go with the DC shorty header and AEM CAI but I have a feeling it won't do much justice on the base. I mean do you guys honestly think a I/H/E setup would really give me a noticeable difference. I mean I could eventually do pullies, clutch, flywheel, ect on top of that but is it worth it. Would i even come close to a stock type s. Or should I just go for the look factors and get the OEM body kit and type r wing on it, and maybe some H.I.D lights on it. Any opinions would be appreciated.

honestly, the base rsx is a pretty good platform to boost with. imo, i'd either boost or swap. the base doesn't really respond as well as a type-s would to basic upgrades. or you can opt for a type-s head swap. i'd swap it, just my .02 worth

I have seen in a couple places where the a3 with i/h/e/hondata is picking up around 30 whp, I think you can even get a couple more with a race header. I am going just that route with my ep3. Picking up 30-35 whp would put you right in line with a stock type s. Anything you wish for past that is going to require boost or a swap. Going i/h/e/hondata/jrsc is getting up to 225 whp with their racing kit, that is pretty good imo.

Boost is the way to go, however, the base model DOES respond fairly well to IHE.

i have a injen cold air, dc shorty, and 05 type s catback on my base. I luv the setup. Car feels soo much better. Top end is much nicer. You prolly are reluctant because you didnt feel anything from just your exhaust. Doing any one of these alone to the base is pointless, you wont really feel it. But, all three togther compliment eachother very well. The base isnt as bad as people make it out to be. Its mostly Type S drivers that bash us . Boost is nice, but also nothing but work and maintenence. And say goodbye to your engine life.

Im happy with mine. I dont plan on doin a swap. Atleast not so early in my cars life. I'll be gettin the reflash soon and i'll be more than content.
