obd1 hell
d15 hanging above car, waiting for obd1 complete harness so i stop...look on ebay holy **** thats not complete i just bought an in engine bay harness so my p28 wont even plug in, i am a waste of life. With an obd1 engine harness and a DX wiring harness in the car with an SI wiring harness sitting next to me right now can anyone offer any advice on tying them together into a noose and hanging myself? Or perhaps what my next step should be? I am uber confused and too high on brake clean to think straight.
p.s I did not intentionally get high on brake clean i forgot to read the "properly ventilated" warning

sounds fun... well, i'd sleep on it then go and get the plugs that go on the ecu side that plug into the computer for an obd1 conversion (for the life of me i can't remember their name.) also, if i remember right, theres complications to making the si engine harness work with the dx.
Just buy a conversion harness that will allow you to plug the P28 into the dx harness and also modify the dx harness for mpfi and you are set. Or you could have someone do the whole thing for you.

the conversion harness is made up of an si harness and a dx harness which i told you I allready have. So no im not going to send them off to have someone do that for me for 300 bucks. So...if the in engine harness is all off an obd1 car, do the rules for repinning the ecu follow the mpfi-->si-->obd1?
no he's talking about a conversion harness on the inside of the car, that plugs into your current ecu plugs and plugs into your new ecu, it switches the wires around and such...

wiggity word, yeah that my current plan I thought the complete dx to y8 conversion was being mentioned but I was confused. Wish i hadn't cut off the ecu connectors to practice depinning haha, this car was previously going to be junked. I am a loser wish me luck motor is in and everything is hooked up minus wires yehaw!
