How do you read the code on 89 hf?
When i firt bought my car the check engine light was on. I didn't really care because I'm going to swap in the b16a anyway. But then last sat night the damn Hf died on me at 3 a.m in the morning. I checked and there was no sparks. Oh yeah and it rain the day before my pos died. So how do you check the code? Thanz again.

lift up the carpet under the passengers feet,
and take off the ECU 'protector cover' (is this step needed
cant remember if theres a hole there for the LED)
anyhow count the blinking lights..
long pulse=10
short pulse=1
count them up and then use this..

You do not need to remove the metal plate. There is a little window in it that allows you to see the led.
weight savings=1hp
Stupid me. I disconnect the negative cable to check if there is any water got into it. ECU was dry. But then I lost all the codes. Darn it. It rain in dallas a couple days before and somehow water got into my crx. I need this thing for another month and then I;m going to start my build up. Also I took the distributor apart, It looks fine.
I'm not familiar with hondas. Any tips? Thanz.
