UPDATE: Said engine was sent and will be in my possesion within 11 days...We'll see

NEWEST UPDATE: He said he's gonna send 1/2 on monday half next week back to me. So I should be getting a refund.

Arrr...I'm new to this forum but a member at TPC in Canada. I think I've been scammed by lude2fast88 for 1 JDM H22 engine.

Here's the details:

I came across his post saying JDM H22 still abailable in the classifides. He said he needed to get rid of it ASAP and was willing to do it for $1000. To good to be true? Yep. We go back and forth with emails about payment options and he says some story about not being able to use paypal due to being scammed....which I buy...there a lot of scammin going on these days. So I agree to send a money order (silly, silly me) but here's how we laid it out..
His words...."so what i can due for trust purpose is u send me half of the amount i sne du the engine and then u send other half and i send tranny and ecu."

So i think he's being legit. Money gets sent last week...deal was for him to send out the engine on friday. Since then there's been no contact. None. He gave me a number and I call and have left messages.

OUCH!! Good luck getting the money back.

I only deal with people who have references. If I am buying something like that for that much, I would only deal with a local buyer. I bought my H22 swap locally (worked out great) and I will be buying an SR20DET swap locally soon too.

The World is getting worse. It is too easy to scam people now. I was scammed by a guy in TX for $130. I sent the Houston TX police dept ALL his info. They still cannot do anything for me.

I think people need to start making their own justice.

Hey dude, sorry to tell you this but he is scamming you. I emailed him last night after I saw this thread and he replied today. He said that it is still for sale.

Here is what he wrote back to me:
"yes it still for sale here everything it comes with 5-speed tranny snf ecu the compression ratiop is 10-6-1 it had it in my car for about a month it has roughly around 25k on it I dont have pic becasue lately my e-mial has been doin sumthin funny where i can e-mail pics so i will have to figure sumthin out. will mail to anywhere in u.s or canad if u live in canda add 200 for shipping and in u,s add 100 i have had thi s engine sitting in my gargae to long so im gonna let it go for 750 i purchased it form totaljdm.com. payment wise a guy bought my b20a5 from me and what we did is he sent a portion of the money shipped overnight by ups with a tracking number i sent the engine he sent the next payment with tracking number i sent the tranny and ecu so lmk if you are interested im 100 % committed to selling this engine to u if u are a serious buyer."

hell yeah, tell him you have an insurance check for twice that, and you'll sign it over to him if he sends you the difference. (see what he does if you try to scam him).

What Ive learned in the past is if they don't give you the tracking # immediatly then they don't have it. If they say they didn't get one then they are lying.

How old is this guy? Because if he is young call his parents and tell them that you are talking to a lawyer and you are going to sue him if you dont get your item.

Tell them that its a felony because it was over x aount of dollars. If he is older then just tell him that. That **** happened to me over a sub but I called the punks parents and within the week I got my money back. Good Luck

 

Hope you really do get the motor, getting scammed sucks. I would really have someone pay this guy a visit, you would have a much higher chance of getting your money back!

 

Dawg so sorry for the bullshit you have to go through. I have been scammed before and it is an ugly feeling. What sucks is that now you are skeptical about who you are dealing with? Then he messes it up for everyone else. I know if it was me I pay a visit like I did to the person that scammed me. All I can tell you is I walked away from it and he was carried to the hospital. Two things I believe in and you don't **** with ......

Why would he give me all his info? It doesn't make sense. I have his adress two emails and two phone numbers.

If he's a scammer he's a pretty stupid one. The one bad thing he has going for him is that my company has a project going on in Asheville NC and I can visit anytime. I have no problem doing a little road trip....plus at 6'7", 285 I fear very few people.

I say you make a road trip over there. Go to your trunk and pull out a 2 by 4 (the Rock style) and knock on the door.
Then have this all filmed like 'railsman' said. I mean $1000 can get a lot of mods on your car, so it's worth getting that back.

shitty situation Getbig....although, to answer your question....i would say that based on the emails provided by AndyD, the guy isn't very bright or he's a foreigner....either way, violence solves nothing except making you feel a lot better....so try to get the money back and if that doesn't work, beat him down for general purpose

Video-taping the incident sounds fun, but i'd recommend a ski mask....no sense going to jail for a piece of crap like this guy
