AFter getting my a/c installed recently, I've been hearing a short burst of 'screeching' every so often, when I start up sometimes and when it's wet out.

I assumed it was my alternator belt which felt kinda slack, but after tightening it, I still hear the screeech on and off (of course it never does it when I look under the hood). Well I checked my a/c belt and it's really tight... could that be it ?

yes, sometimes moisture from the dew in the morning will also cause it to screech
