damn am still debating palmdale or vegas (to spectate) am right about to flip a coin to decide

 

Spectate, what's going on with the car? Just curious!

problem at least for me is that the race in vegas is on the week day, cant take off work to just go spectate....i will be at Palmdale, there will probably be a decent turnout, hopefully weather permits

We all discuss about how the sport is dying out here in the West and we turn our backs on our own event.

I've been to Powerade events in Pomona and they're bad ***, but when there's an Import/Sport Compact event in the area, I'm sure to support that 100%

Very well put, but the NHRA race IS a sport compact event!!!!! Even though some of you may not like the eligibility rules for qualification for Las Vegas, the least you can do is come out to support our very own racers when they are a short drive away. Seems like everyone always has time to come out if they are involved, but think that spectating means that your are not involved; quite the contrary in my opinion. Spectators in the stands that are there to support our racing is key, come out and have a good time and see some of the big Powerade boys and girls run at the same time. What could be better than that?

As much as I'd like to be at Powerade to support you guys there. We want to be here at IDRC/Palmdale to support the guys we build the motors for.

We will try to represent our sport well. There is only 3 cars qualified for the ProFWD field, so we will at least take 3rd Thanks and hope you guys have a good weekend as well.

Hell yea Vince, put on a good show and good luck... We'll be puttin on our show at IDRC that weekend, otherwise i think our team would be in vegas supporting you guys...

which days are the imports going to be running? if not all of them... I dont think i can afford the whole weekend......

Friday April 15th, 2005
Sport Compact Qualifying - 2 sessions ( 9:00am and 12:00 noon )

Saturday April 16th, 2005
Sport Compact Qualifying - 1 session ( 11:00 am )
Sport Compact Round 1 - 1 elimination's round ( 5:15 pm ) only if there is an 8 car field, otherwise round 1 elimination's on Sunday.

Sunday April 17th, 2005
Final elimination begin - 11:00 am

Na, its in Cali... IDRC West coast nationals in Palmdale Ca. is the same weekend as PowerADE in Vegas...

all the billboards and commercials only shows big boys (top fuel, funny cars)
what classes are running (imports)

All Motor, Hot Rod, Modified, Pro FWD, & Pro RWD

 

Sad to say, with Gas prices here in Ca. it is going to be hard to make it out there this time around. $500 for the weekend (at least) could go into new parts for the car. Like some GE Sleeves . + some $ of coarse!

I wish all those that are going to make it out there the best !
