Default B20z pistons

Ive a B20b block and im thinking about bumping the compression with B20z pistons. I dont want to go oversize or buy an expensive set of slugs. Are they worth it?

S2S2 cams
ITR head
B20b block
OEM headgasket

BTW, where can i find a set and how much do they usually go for?

Honda dealer, PHX piston

about 40 bucks a piston + new rings

I would buy aftermarket if you are going to go through all the trouble of replacing them

Thanks. I would actually go for aftermarket pistons but its way out of my budget.
My compression with a stock B20b is 9.2, with B20z pistons its 10.1. Do you think its worth it?

for the extra amount of money your going to spend get aftermarket. With aftermarket your going to get a forged piston, stock b20z is still a cast piston. judging from your cylinder head, your going to be driving this thing hard, save up a little more and do it right. Price out some aftermarket pistons, you would be surprised how inexpensive they can be.

$160 for a set of PHK. I havent seen arias or wiseco pistons go for less than $200. My mind is set in getting just the B20z pistons, if they are worth it. If they will make minimal difference ill just stick with my stock B20b.

they will make enough of a difference for it to not be worth it.

It is 160+100 for rings

260 bucks...

Go aftermarket for ~150 more...

or stay stock
