Default Old crowers to new crowers?

I remember the old crower cores had a bad batch and were weak, but the newer ones had no problems, is there a way to tell the two apart?

I no the bad cores were more then 2 years old, but they are probably still in circulation........

thanks

you can still buy new old cores, that is where most of those ebay parts come from, they are warranty or reman parts.... defects etc.

Even at my work we have parts that are still about 7 years old such as crane cam shafts for small block chev, gaskets etc....

The new generation of Crower cams have a "-2" at the end of the part number.

example: 62404-2 or 63403-2
