you could be driving a program for a 2liter setup for all you know. your AF is prob way off. go borrow an ecu that will be right for your motor

i dont think you'll get any serious engine damage. just dont rev high! maybe 4t rpm max. im pretty sure the mapping of that ROM is waaay rich that u need. just expect some shittty gas mileage

This is ridiculous. How many of us have driven untuned for long periods of time when we first got into swaps? Im sure like 90%. Check your plugs, make sure they are a litle grayish brown or close, if you have a AFPR and gauge keep it set to 50psi with the line off (40 with it on) to be safe. Make sure your cam gears are at 0 and also make sure your timing is not advanced or retatreded, just stock. Other than that, get tuned when you get a chance but I would definatly not tell you to stop driving the car unless your seeing some leaness on the plugs, pinging, or feeling problems in the power band.

I'm using a JDM GSR motor with CTR Pistons, S2S2 cams. I have the stock ecu right now running it, and all I can say its alright. I dont get on it, or **** above 4500 rpms, most time its around 4k. I've got about 400 miles on it so far, and it has terrible gas mileage, but you'll be fine. Its gonna be another couple weeks before I can get mine tuned, but I'm not having any major issues, yet.

its not the problem running a stock ECU and saying im untuned..

the p28 and hondata i have in, i got from thsi guy, and its tuned and setup for his SETUP, far from mine..

And yes, i did set my cam gears at 0 and my timing stock, ive put everything to stock..

how are your plugs though? my point is, if you running a little rich then its fine. If his setup was running lean as all helll and now has you running lean as all hell then your going to want a tune ASAP. If he was tuned at 195HP he was most likley consuming more fuel than you with the lesser HP which means your likely on the rich side. If the plugs look good, you can drive without tuning until you get the money. Just please dont go pushing it

Running rich can wash out the rings , Running lean well you know what happens then. At least put a wideband on it to make sure your not overly rich or overly lean. I wouldnt drive it untuned or on a stock ecu unless it was a very mild setup

He's right, though running a tad rich isnt so bad as running lean, if you are running rich you can wash out the piston rings. Your motor and setup are not in the neighborhood of `195whp. Sooo, Your prolly getting too much fuel. You could try to turn down the pressure a tad.

Best advice would be not to drive it much, especially if its running rich enough to bog it out.

If it's rich enough to foul the plugs, PARK IT. Mine went that far and I got the dreaded cylinder wash. Now the car needs to have a short block rebuild even though that's not exactly in the budget

my car is also running untuned, very rich....where can i get it tune (i live in Seattle) and what kind of tuning does it has to go through????? Does it need to be dyno or can i just get a aftermarket fuel regulator and a vafc and go to any shop to get it tune.
