Stainless DC header rusting??

Default Stainless DC header rusting??

Is it common for stailess DC headers to rust. A firend has one and it's beginng to rust. I didn't think that was supposed to happen??

sainless steel should never rust, unless i think if it's scratched kinda deep. actually if u do a search I think i recall people discussing this..

I worked for this company where we heat treated stainless steel bands. We had to do this in an oxygen-free furnace because apparently stainless steel does rust at elevated temperatures. I think it was like 900-1200 degrees F.

Um, I don't know if that helps anybody....
