d300 because it's touchscreen. 1.2 million pixels on the d901 for the best picture doesn't really mean much on a 7" screen....

depends what you want. the 901 offers better resolution, the 300 is touchscreen. personally i like touchscreen, and the pulsetouch is a really cool effect.

IMO i'd go with neither.. pioneer avic n1. dvd, touchscreen, really awesome navi, and a LOT better configuration and more user friendly (i.e. viewing angle adjustability, etc.)

I work at a stereo shop and never liked the all in 1 unit. considering the Map disk cost 300+ dollars. and every time you put in a music or dvd disc u gota remove the map disc. and lazy as i am, end up scratching the map disc badly. My whole deal is 1.15 pixel is great, just not really in to the touch screen thing, but the look and software is great on the d300. But seems like people like the d300 more. thanx for the vote.

iva-d300 hands down. I've owned both the iva-d300 then sold it, and then got the avic-n1. I love the iva-d300 the picture is a bit better, easir to use, and it sits cleaner, compared to the avic-n1 as it sticks out alot more. My buddy has the iva-d901, and that sucker sticks out alot as well, and in my opinion its not worth it, the iva-d300 is a better bang for the buck. i sold my avic-n1 and now i got a cheap sony deck but my new plan is to just get a pioneer dvh-p5000mp, and then put a 5.6in screen in my audio console in my eg civic, gonna cost a total of about 500 for everything, and its gonna be simple, and clean.
PS> a new screen, Pioneer avh-p5700dvd just came out, its about $999.99, and its pretty much like the avic-n1 minus the navigation and vehicle dynamics. One feature it has over the old avic-n1 is that it plays WMA's. Ive installed it in a customers car, its a basic unit, but good price, and has touchscreen.

Sometime in the next month or so, Alpine will be introducing the IVA-D310, which is a step up from the IVA-D300. I like the looks of the D310 better and it also has a detachable face unlike the D300.

Another suggestion I would have it you have a double DIN slot is the Eclipse AVN series. They look pretty sharp. A little pricey though.
