Default hondata 7.5-8.5 psi dynoed on friday.

what happens at 6500 RPM ? usually it seems like they make more
at that point not less. I'll look at the datalog later and see if I see anything.

This was done on a mustang dyno which usually rates lower than a
dynojet for some reason.

B18C5,JRSC, stepper pulley,440RC,kamakazi,160' stat...

Do you have some dataalog? Where is the timing set at? How high is the intake air temp?

I had blown my motor after I installed the stepper pulley. My cr is (was) JDM spec 11.1:1 and boost showed 8.5psi. After 0.5 hours on the dyno (with wide band O2 sensor + Haltech e6k standalone) #4 had zero compression. fug -> now rebuilt for turbo

thanks for the positive comments, I've migrated here from all the other 'down' boards, SHO,hostboard,TOO...

I've got to thank Holden for his install web site, and austrian ITR for having a
similar setup. I know the 8.5 is kinda high for my JDM type r motor, but I'm hoping
the hondata will prove cost effective.

I can post the datalog if anyone wants, you can DL the viewer
Im not sure on the air intake temp, I havent looked at the log yet

Mustang Dyno is a different company that makes dynos. There is one here in dallas Cobbs tunning that does the AWD wrx's. Other companys that makes dynos:
Mustang
DynoJet
Dynapack
Bosch..

Salt: you have 11.1:1 compression? Usualy the USDM ITR spec engine (B18C5) only has 10.6:1. Common` don´t tell me you have 11.1:1 cr

BTW: What exhaust setup fo you have? I only read Kami header. I think you should upgrade to some 3incher when you have not already.

I have a 1997 JDM B18C r spec, I don't know the real CR, but I'm guessing its
11:1

The exhuast is the kami 2.5 collector, test pipe, greddy cat back. My exhaust is
already loud enough for me. I don't think I could handle a 3"

Salt, have you decreased the CR of your motor in anyway?

I always thought that 11 to 1 CR was way too high for boost. Not only that but you are boosting 8.5 psi!!!!

pls tell me that that motor is not stock!!1
