ok i just got a d16z6 head and it's going on a d15 block(mini me swap) and i just got a vafc. is there any way to run a crx si ecu and use the vafc to control vtec, or do i need a ecu that suports vtec. if not how would i go about wiring up the vafc. but if i do need the ecu (92 ex) would i have to go obd1 or is there one thats obd0. it's going in to a 90 crx hf. iam low on cash. so need a cheat idea.

 

Ok first of all, you should have searched first, I have a whole thread on my swap satrt to finish, but thats ok, I will still help u out here. Do it the right way and get these:

OBD-0 to OBD-1 conversion harness from http://www.Rywire.com or http://www.JKOBD.com

OBD1 ECU

OBD1 Distributor

OBD1 injectors

OBD1 02 sensor

then you can wire up the VAFC ll to the ECU and be done. If u need instructions on the VAFC wiring go to the main Apex'i website

 

or you could just wire up the vafc and control vtec with it.... he didn't ask for your thread he asked if it could be wierd so i know you can wire a janky radio shack vtec controller so i don't understand why you could just wire up the vafc go to apexi's main site

 

thats what i was asking but on the pex site they have a vtec wire goig to the vafc and then the ecu. it's gay .

 

i belive the vtec controller only modifys the vtec engaget ment that you still need the signal from the ecu
