spoon sports products for the 4th gen prelude?????
I recently purchased a lude. I;m gonna try to keep the car japanes in that I'm probably ar gonna only buy products from jun, mugen, spoon sports, etc...
But only I can't find any spoon sports products other than oil and radiator caps for the prelude. Even w/ mugen the exhaust they have for the prelude is for the fifth gen, perhaps that same exhaust could fit a fourth gen; I dunno.
My questionis does spoon make products for the prelude or not, but if so where do they sell'em. I don't know why I want just japanese parts on my car, I guess i think since its a japanese car, it would be a good idea to modify it w/ aftermarket japanese products.
I know companies like AEM and Skunk 2 are great, but I guess I just like the japanese style better.
So, if ne one could give me a heads up on where to find spoon and mugen products that would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
good luck finding many spoon parts, apart from stickers and the spoon strut braces for 4th gen prelude - there's not much else.
The rear strut brace is the same as the 5th gen prelude but you're going to have to find a 4th gen specific front strut brace. If you find somewhere selling them, let me know please.

Now what kind of parts are you talking about? Asthetic parts, or Functional wise. If you are talking functional wise like header, Exhaust, that type of deal than your better off going with custom stuff around here than the over priced JDM JUNK. But Asthetically i know JUN makes a lip for the 4th gen, its on the Super yellow JUN prelude. Also Spoon makes a lip too for the 4th gen which attaches to the front bumper but is real rare to find. People make Replicas like Satan SRV, PM him and ask when he will have another run on his lips. Thats the closest thing you'll get to having a genuine Spoon Lip. And Mugen goodies for a 4th gen, well thats even harder i think personally to find than both of the last two mentioned companies. If you want to find the full mugen body kit for the 4th gen expect to pay close to 3-4k Dollars and finding it is next to impossible if you do. Look up Member @ries, he has the full mugen kit including front bumper, side skirts, and rear spoiler.
JDM = teh ghey
Why are people so sprung on JDM parts? There are better performing, lesser priced parts made right here in the US.
Is it really that important to have a part from Japan?
Spectator:
Damn man, those spoon cams made like 9 WHP less than the RM H24 cams and cost twice as much
Owner:
Yeah, but my spoon cams are JDM yo!

Nah, not pushing anything... I just dont see anything else out there for the H22 thats on the same level... Crower, JUN and everything arent much more than a semi agressive street cam...
I endorse quality products, i could give a F' about the politics involved, they could be my little pony cams for all I care... If they make power, Ill recomend them

what do you expect to gain from using only japanese parts? If your main goal is as it should be, is to build a good looking fast and well handling car, then this is not necessary and will cost you more money then you need to spend. Although Jun makes some decent internal parts for 2x the cost mugen and spoon aren't going to offer you anything more effective the other manufactures except for bragging rights.
instead of flaming you, ill just explain something.
first your probably only looking on Ebay, thats why you only found radiator caps and oil caps. You say you like japanese style more, but are you talking performance parts? Why would you spend twice as much for a part thats gonna give you the same if not less gains, that no one is going to see? Stick with products that do good for you, not burn up your wallet. Just because something is spoon or mugen doesnt mean its the absolute best, and there are other parts to keep your car "japanese". Good luck though man.

Hey lude-acris thanks fo not flamin like those other maricons, but ne who what u said made a shitload of sense. Now I guess the only thing left to do is to just find out who sells the best aftermarket engine products for the best prices.

That's the point other's are trying to make through their flaming. A japanese company doesn't mean it's gonna be the best. The names are what are so expensive, so don't discriminate by what country the part comes from. Youre on the right track

It's the same reason brand label clothing costs so damn much: the label.

goto http://www.jhpusa.com
I've bought some stuff from there, pretty good service.
Your best bet for Mugen is http://www.kingmotorsports.com or getting really lucky on eBay.
Besides the label, quality and research come into play also
