I would also remove the bumper support and jam another 2x4 between the frame rail then glue it in place with Elmers glue. As far as suspension I would use the springs from a F-150 to hold the extra 300lb extra from the H22. Last but not least I would remove the old mounts and weld the motor and trans permanently to the chassis, that would "strethan" the front end.

i didn't have to weld to drop mine in. a lot of cutting + drilling though. but i didn't have costume mounts either.

Just get a decent suspension setup, and also I seen that a company called Korbach came up with something called "frame locks" for a 96-00 civic.

Now for the tech part, just focus a little on suspension and you'll be fine. Actually it's one of the first mods I did with my h22 swap. Can't wait to get my car running again. Boost is good!
