How do you remove the govener i want to go faster then 122.

I know that there are some vehicles out there that you can snip a wire and it disables your speed govener but it also disables your cruise control. Can you do this with a 97 civic ex?

 

start clipping wires and find out.

itll take u 5 miles to get to 122 in a 97 coupe anyways, its not like your proving anything.

 

you shouldn't need to go that fast in a honda anyways (unless you top out in the 1/4). If you want high speed, buy a car that is built for high speed.

change the chip...or put in a chip?

if it's obd1, you can add a chip and get rid of the speed limiter (among other things). But, seriously, driving faster than your speed limiter will just increase (dramatically) your chances of losing your license and dying young.

ok so, the speed limiter is in place of the chip at first.

sorry. you took me a little too serious. i was just kiddin.
i just want it removed. i don't like to have anything hold me back even if i don't reach those speeds.
