Default putting a super 60 t3 turbo on my gsr..

i know everyones going to say get a t3/t4 but i have one now and im more impressed with the response and im not looking for 300+whp i picked this turbo due to cost also .. ok does anyone know or run this turbo on a gsr or a b16.. im looking to get around 235-250whp on a stock motor...what psi would it take for me to achive this.. and is there anything i need to know about the turbo to make it work in my gsr hatch.. clearance issues or anything like that.. im going to be running a rev hard manifold with a 2.5downpipe... have to keep AC... no power steering...it will be dyno tuned with uberdata... with 450cc injectors.... ?

It will be tough to keep A/C but its possible

A Super 60 on a GSR is going to be pretty small but I guess whatever floats your boat.

I am using a Super 60 on my D series project and at 14 psi I am expecting 240-260whp with great spool

I would imagine with superior head flow (and revs) you wont need that much boost to make that much power I am guessing you could make 230whp with 9-10 psi or maybe even less

Plenty of manifolds out there....I ditched the A/C and can use any mani I want so sorry I cant help you there --- A/C mani should be $3-$400 from LoveFab etc.. look around for differnt WG placements

IMO A super 60 is a cool quick spool turbo for a B16.....FOr a C1 I think a T04B or similiar would be better suited JMHO

Good luck

you won't have any clearance issues, that turbo is fairly a small turbo, to get about 300whp your really gonna have to crank that boost up

what would make it a bad choice for my turbo.. i know it doesnt push as much air as a t3/t4 or just a t4 but wouldnt it be a fun street turbo?

"only 310whp" ? Thats a nice gain on an lsvtec

its a smaller turbo so 15psi is not as many cfm's as something like a t04e

i just wanted to know if he lowered the compression on the motor just seemed a little low but i guess the turbo is maxed out around 310hp... also is there an alternative to this turbo because its hard to find.... a similar one...

I was facing the same debate as you for my b16. I decided to go with a t3t04e 60 trim ... full boost at 4800rpms. Its a daily driver, so i dont think i really want something smaller that will spool quicker downlow.

that seems about right, my friend even asked tony palo how much it would take to get to 300whp with that same exact turbo, and sure enough he said about that much

That turbo will destroy the awesome natural power curve of your engine. It will spool so fast you will have traction problems and then once you get up past 6 or so it will level off and feel pretty disapointing. But if you just want the numbers then ya, it can do it. At least run an external WG so the poor engine doesnt have to fight the huge restriction of a standard T3 wheel and internal WG.

>>Please, T3s are for Ds<<

That would be a fun turbo with the stg3 turbine and .63 housing. It will probably have some noticable boost around 3 and pull really hard around 4. That gives you a huge powerband

No, they don't. The compressor plays a negligible part in the spool time of the turbo. A T3 with a .63 a/r turbine housing, stage 3 wheel, and a "super 60" T3 compressor will spool about the same as a T3/T04 with any compressor and turbine specs listed before.

T3 Super 60 would do the job. But, Im starting to get the impression you dont actually have a turbo right now?
