Hey,I drive a 95 prelude vtec (h22a1), and im looking for a new car. Locally there is a salvage prelude (h23 non vtec) shell, that had damaged axles so it was declared totaled. The guy said hed sell it really cheap considering the interior is pretty stripped (100-300$) and im wonderin about fixing it all up.
Ive never done a swap before, but are pretty mechanically inclined. Just finished helping my brother do a head swap on his car. I can solder, etc. I just dont have the experience and knowledge, but thats what i have H-T for. Bascially if i buy this car, i need to know if im capable of swapping in a JDM h22a.
For starters here are my plans. Old engine is out. I want to do a wire tuck (as best i can.) Do i need a new harness? Mounts, axles, ECU, Motor???? What other key components. I would be stripping AC, PS, Cruise, and andything else i could think of, because i would like to make this more of a "drag" car.
How much time u think a swap would take? a week?
