Default just installed german ctr headlights, pics and thoughts on aiming...

hey, i just installed the german ctr headlights on my 03 si and i thought i'd share a few pics. i'd like to thank ocelaris for all the help. can anyone give me any thoughts on the aiming? it seems that when i'm 15ft behind a vehicle, the left flare starts on their bumper on the lower left corner. is that correct? on the fifth pic you can see the black tape i used to see the drop of the cutoff. it is right around 3in at 25 ft. and i know the flares moved left, but that's cause i took the pics quickly and i don't think i reversed perfectly backwards. anyways, here go the pics:

its been said before, but i'll say it again. the difference between hid and halogen is amazing. once u drive an hid equipped vehicle, you won't want to go back, trust me.

$950, a bargain considering i have oem equipment. and it came with everything (bulbs, ballast, headlights, and even a harness). the install was super easy. just like replacing regular headlights. the harness ocelaris made for me was basically plug and play. the only thing i had to splice was the turn signal bulbs since the plug on the car didn't work with the lights. it took about an hour and a half, and that includes removing the bumper and all.

The aiming should be 3" at 25ft since they are E-Code headlights. You could even do 3.5" just to be safe.

That cutoff is SHARP. Kudos to you for getting real HIDs and not the jank HID conversions that most everyone else gets.

Where did you find the lights?

So you wouldn't happen to know how he went about getting them over here would you?
I'm looking for a different part from germany. Might there be a store that has a line?

Ocelaris and a couple of other small parts outfits are using the same British contact to get their German parts. Shipping from the UK and Europe is absolutely brutal, however, and adds signifcantly to the cost of the parts.

If I were you I'd contact Ocelaris or Siracer (AIM) directly and see if they will share the information.

I'm warning you, though...shipping is going to be awful....

I have those lights on my '02 EP and can certainly testify along with you that they're awesome and a huge improvement over the OEM USDM EP lights. Since they're completely OEM, there are no quality issues and the low beam projectors appear to be the same ones used on the CL7/CL9.

Ocelaris installed mine, and he must have learned quite a bit about how the harness goes together. It took him the better part of a day to get them wired correctly. He must have used the experience to manufacture a harness for other early EP installations.

They're easily available HID replacements, not rebased. You can ask Ocelaris for a parts number.

I don't think they'll wear out while you have the car, though, do you think?

as far as i know, hid bulbs will last a couple thousand hours.

and i think the bulb is a phillips d2s, either 4100k or 4300k, someone can correct me if i'm wrong.

Context clues would tell me:

RTFT = Read the ******' title.
D'nSINTFT = Doesn't say in the ******' title.

Just a guess.
