god dam i broke the stupid clip on my VAFC because of the lighter being in the way, as i was unplugging the radar detector the clip cam off and my vafc is on the floor.... i took a good look at the dash and holly **** do i NOT have a clue where to put it on a 5th gen lude....
it kinda of gets on my nerves to have it right in front of the shifter like that...
any ideas where it would look good?...ill try posting a pic of mine later

mount it in the glove box or pull the radio tray out and mount it in there on the carpet and make a little block off plate to hide it when you get tired of the bright blue lights. i like to be sneaky.

I installed my V-AFC in the trash can. It works perfectly there and looks super stealthy.

I hate you for having a full tank. I never have a full tank of gas except when I JUST get my check.

I think that's the best mounting I've seen for that bad boy! Don't get me wrong, the other ones are sweet, but having the cover is such a good idea considering how any punks are out there tyring to steal your ****! And I think it meshes well with the kenwood flip face deck!! Nice work man, nice work.

i still like the way they look....i might just hook up all the wires and instead of cut the map wire, and run it through the vafc, just splice into it, just to give the vafc a reading but not be able to change the ecu reading....

i already have hondata....so i dont need it, but i like the look

Took me about 4 hrs to do the whole process with my dremel. I agree more and more with people on the vafc not being a very good tuning tool. Why oh why couldn't they involved the allowing of changing ignition maps on them?

How in the heck do I get it to show up just like the other guys pictures. I'd appreciate the help or if it's in the stickies or on the search board please direct me there. I don't have any close ups but I can get them for you tomorrow, I've got to charge my digital cam! Plastic melts real fast with a 30,000 rpm dremel so that's why it took me so long. The wire comes out a little slit on the top of my visor. I pulled the factory mirror and hot glued cork board to the backing. I used grip lock velcro so I can remove it still if I need to!

**edit** I also mounted it this way so it would settle down in once the visor was put up, couldn't think of any other way to prevent the buttons from being pushed when the visor wasn't down! Truely can't even really tell the vafc is in there when I want to hide it away!

Holy crap that was a fast fix. How do you actually get the pics instead of the links to show up? I appreciate that my friend. It's a pretty clean install, most people compliment it but there is one little place on it where the pin that held the mirror and allowed it to rotate the plastic cover over the mirror up chunked out about 3 mm. Hardly perfect but much better than in my way! I would've liked it to reach the drivers side but I didn't feel like soldering more wire onto the harness. I'm lazy like that!

Im not denying your install skills but damn that seams near impossible!
Isnt the VAFC like 3 times thicker than the sun visor?

if you'd prefer not to dremel everything up and want to replace your bracket..jhp's got your back:

http://www.jhpusa.com/catalog/...d=523 $13

however i must say, if i dont opt for that s100 system, i'll be installing a VAFC like those above, nice work all!
