This question can only be answered by the ones that actually have this kit in their 5g Prelude or maybe if you have an excellent memory from seeing in another Prelude.

I got my kit last Friday and had installed the first two big pieces (center console and dash board) in the late evening...none the less, I did not notice the difference in color of these two pieces. This morning (Monday...why did the weekend have to end?), I realized that the dash piece is a black color and the center console is of a grayish color. Is this normal or did I get an abnormal set? I hope you guys can answer this question for me. Thanks a bunch.

 

err...mine's all the same faux carbon fiber pattern and color.

Because you didn't check your tools and mods before installing them.

 

Well you could shell out the extra cash (which isn't cheap) and buy the factory option carbon fiber trim that isn't installed with 3m tape but are the actual pieces that replace the black ones. Not only that, they are real carbon fiber, not the look-alike painted crap. That way you are gauranteed no hassles and it looks a lot better than the look-alike stuff (my friend has it on his 98 SH, looks great!).

 

Isn't the "OEM Honda Carbon Fiber" he's referring to the same factory option carbon fiber trim you're referring to?

 

Ok...I had my friend look at the kit and he has come to this conclusion...it's the lighting. Hehhe...I'm a dumbass...but...it's a MONDAY. I'm not operating well on a Monday with 5 hours of sleep. And yes it is the one from the factory and one of the 4 piece kit is with 3M tape...Yes, it was expensive...and no I didn't think it over before I bought and if I knew it only came with 4 pieces I would have bought something else with the money.
