Crank Pulley wobble???

Default Crank Pulley wobble???

i have a 98 gsr, car runs great, no weird noises or anything. it has 59k miles, soon i have to get 60k tune up, today i was changde my oil. i turned the car on after oil change and was just inspecting the car... then i saw the crank pulley wobble, or should i say it looks like its unbalanced.. does it suppose to do that?? i thought that crank pulley are not suppose to wobble/move when engine is ideling?? i asked my friend to look a the crank pulley when i steped on the gas, he say it did not move/wobble when is reving...i dont know if you guys have any input in this please comment. thanks

just remember: the harmonic damper, or crank pulley, is there to dampen vibrations of the crankshaft, which are large and abundant. i've never watched mine while the engine is spinning since i keep the lower plastic on, but i wouldn't be surprised if it wobbled just a tiny bit. if it wobbles more than a hair, though, i'd take an impact wrench to it and make sure it's tight.

its stock pulley, it is very noticable, i dont know, i don tthink its loose, if it is loose it would have been off my car already (i drove like 70 miles today) can you guys look at your and tell me whats up???

Your crank pulley should not be wobbling. Make sure the 19" bolt holding it on is real tight (I think it should be torqued to around 140 ft/lbs, something like that).
