Default Loading bike into a BIG *** truck???...

Going down to PHX. to pick-up my bike on wed. The problem is my buddy has a F-350 with a 3" lift, as well as some 37 tires. What do you think the best way to get the bike in the truck? No ramps of any kind either, it's in my buddies garage and he ain't got ****.
thanks,
charles

slide a 2x4 under the engine and have 5 or 6 people pick it up...but honestly, why not just build a ramp out of lumber...or find a different truck.

get a different truck. my s10 was heaven with its saggy rear suspension; we used to have to load 800lb welders, 350's and other heavy stuff into this truck and it sucked so much.

It's the only truck I got to use right now. Any other suggestions?

Haulin the bike around is the reason I never put a lift on my truck. Would be a pain in the ***, although I do have a ramp.

Can't you borrow a ramp from another friend..........although with a truck that big it would still be a b*tch pushing it up there. Depending on how many people you have, you could lift it in there. Seen people do that with normal sized trucks though.

just make sure you have like 4 people to help lift i guess, 1 in the truck to pull it in and 3 to lift.

There's going to be 4 of us so hopefully we can get it up in there. Would rent a truck but I gotta go 2hrs. to Flagstaff w/it. Would get a trailer but trying to keep cost down, and seeing how I'm gonna have to pay for my friends gas $$$.

When my friend's truck broke down and he wanted to get his dirtbike to the trails, I took my old SS siverado('03), and backed it up to a low wall near his house. He rolled the bike right in.

I felt like such a redneck driving down the streets.

Don't feel comfortable enough riding it 2hrs. back up the mountain, which is why I asked the question.

just find a really steep hill, driveway, or garage and back in the truck so it is level as possible and load up the bike

Keep in mind, you don't need a ramp big enough to roll up to the truck, you need one just steep enough for you to jump and land in it.

Or just get a few big friends and lift it up, for god sakes.>_>

UHaul Motorcycle trailer = $15/day, definately much easier than loading it up a bed that high

If anything go to Home Depot and buy a long *** 2x6 (or even 2x8 for more width). I would say 8-feet long is the minimum for a truck that high. Then back the truck up to a slanted driveway (the steeper, the better). This will lessen the bank angle between the tailgate and the floor. Shouldn't be that hard with at least 3 guys. If you don't want to have two planks side by side (makes it easier to walk the bike), a stool of some sort will help you "step up" to the bed and walk the bike up. Make sure something (straps), or someone (4th person) is holding the plank(s) into place. If not, the plank will shift and it will be a real PITA.

Also, if you have some industrial spots around (or mabye a Supermarket like Ralphs), look for a nice loading dock. That would do the trick!

I have 2 ramps if you wanna borrow them to get them into the truck, 6ft long or so.

That or I'll ride it up there if you give me a ride back.

Dude with 3 or four people you should've have any problems. That's only like 100lbs a piece, and you're resting part of it on the truckbed.

It'll be kinda hard to rest it on the truck bed, it's a BIG *** TRUCK! The bike would be vertical!

park the bike on a loading ramp at a store, or like a handicap ramp and back the truck up near the stairs......... and back the truck up to it.. and ride it right on... put a couple 2x6's up to it if its a lil bit to far........
