Sony to headline NHRA sport compact?

I heard rumors that Summit will be stepping down as the title sponsor of the series before the season started
Hope Summit still stays involved on the SC side, I have always bought all my safety equip and even some slicks from Summit... it would be ashame if they left the SC series all together
I for one would stop buying from Summit all together if they did

At the 'polling booths' they had set up at Moroso, they were asking some interesting questions, but it would seem that Sony is doing some preliminary market research to see if they want their Xplod line to be the title sponsor of the racing series...

i thought the most interesting question(s) revolved around what auto parts store i shop at... checkers-kraggen, pep boys, auto zone, napa etc
other than getting my NGK plugs and their propietary oil and radiator fluid at napa, and the occassional stop at pep boys for fiberglass resin, shop towels, or some cleaning products(because pep boys is right up the street)... i really dont shop at the national auto parts stores... tuners, at least in my opinion, really shop at local speed shops for the majority of their stuff

I would like to see this change personally. You might see the NAPA's, CSK's, etc getting on board with the series. The more money coming in the better!
