Default integra brakes

im NOT wanting to get a "big brake" upgrade. i am just wanting to upgrade my rotors and pads. something a lot better than the oem ****. i was just wondering whats the better stuff to buy without making the rotors larger? slotted? crossdrilled? both? i hear good and bad about all. i just want to know what works best with an integra. i am needing to renew all of it here in a few weeks anyway. and i figure why not upgrade while i am doing it.

I would go with slotted rotors as opposed to drilled rotors cuz the drilled just dont have the strength of the slotted and are prone to cracking

autozone can suck my dick. im talking about replacing my old worn out ****. not upgrading to a $1500 braking system on a basically bone-stock integra. there is no point to spend that kind of money.

The Brembo blanks (rotor replacements) sell for around $25-30 each... so est price is around $100+ for all four. The Hawk break pads, you can get at your local autoparts store such as Autozone or PepBoys and it costs roughly $50.

Make sure that when you do this to also buy some DOT3 brake fluid since you will need to flush and replace your brake fluid.

You're looking to spend $160+ for everything

The auto zone thing is not too bad. it is like $12 each, and i am prtty sure they give you some sort of "lifetime warrenty" so if you warp them, or just plain wear them out they will replace them.

I know there are a few people around who use them on there daily driver/stock car

Before you bash Autozone rotors, please do some research. A lot of forum members are running these rotors at Auto-X events without problems. I've been running Autozone rotors for the last year and am pleased with the results.

No need to waste money on name brand Brembos when Autozone blanks work just as well.

Actually the warranty on the rotors is now 90 days IIRC.

Yep, I just picked up my front pair of autozone rotors about 30 minutes ago. I ordered the valucraft ones for 13.99 each and a 3 month warranty. I chose these instead of the duralast ones that come with a 2yr warranty @ 21.99 just because they were cheaper, and it seems that they are the exact same rotors except with different warranty periods. On their computers, duralast rotors are #3295 and valucraft rotors are #3295B. I picked up my rotors today, and they had #3295 printed on the boxes, but I just have a 3mth warranty. $16 bucks saved on an extra warranty that I probably won't need. They can't get much cheaper than that!
