Default POrt and polish

Made search and didnt find much so here it is:

I got a integra Ls 2000 wich will be Turbo with the greddy Kit soon. I also have an extra Ls head at home wich i want to build a little to install with turbo.

I heard good things about port and polish, but no sure what its exacly do, i guess its just better air flow... but what could be the gain of doing that on a turbo and a non turbo car. any bad side effect of that?

Thank you

There are no real downsides on a boosted application so long as it's done correctly. Make sure that you have the intake manifold and exhaust manifold port matched for the head.

don't even ask. depends a ton on what mods and such. you could lose 10hp on a stock engine from the same PnP job that makes 100 extra hp on a turbo/nitrous drag car.

Port and Polishes are a little on the expensive side and like 95lstegman said you could loose horses and also gas milage on a stock/near stock engine

What P&Ps do is bores the air and fuel holes which if you think about it.. thats what engines need to perform better - more fuel and air.... i recommend you do some mods first.. port and polish should be one of the last things on your list after intake, exhaust, and cleaning up your engine (possibly new pistons new intake manifold, cams, valves, springs, retainers stuff like that) But the only down side i can think of is gas milage will decrease not sure how much but i know it will
