I have an 89 crx that wont fire... it cranks over but just wont fire and everytime I turn my key on my check engine light goes off after a sec but then when I start to turn it over the check engine light comes on and it doesn't start! so confused plz hlp.

 

Bad fuel pump/distributor/spark plugs???

 

well, when I turn my key to acc. I can hear my fuel pump kick on I left my keys at a friends so I can't check my spark plugs but I was thinking that it might be my main relay but I am not sure about that either. I just don't wanna buy a bunch of parts that I don't need but who knows. I did replace my ecu, distributor and cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires about 6 months ago but I have put about 6000 miles on tham so.... maybe I will just try a tune-up and see what happens.

 

turn your keys to the "on" position, pull back the carpet on the passenger side floor. you should see a bracket holding down your ECU. you should also see a blinking LED light on the ECU. count the long flashes and short flashes. long=10 and short=1. search for a list of codes for your engine then diagnose the problem.

ok here's the deal I am pulling a code 16 which is an injector problem... now I am kinda new to all that. do you know of a site where I can get info about my injector system???
