Default Anyone wanna buy a spare '95 GS-R short block? (Make offer)

Alright, I know this prolly should go in classifieds, so before I get flamed off the board, I figured you guys would be the best guys to ask directly, so if the mods think this should be closed, and me put in the penalty box, so be it... Just figured some of you "race" guys might want a "fair" condition GS-R short block, for maybe a good price.

Anyway... I tore down my recently purchased '95 GS-R, and while it isn't necessarily in bad shape, it isn't in the shape I would want to use as my long haul, daily driver motor.

The good:
- Still at factory 81mm bore
- The rods are in excellent shape
- Other than totally dead rings, and some cylinder wear, the block never saw any major abuse (no hydrolock, etc.) just poor air filter use... (not by me, from previous owner)

The bad:
- The bore has some light scratching. I want to pop in some JDM ITR psitons, and they only come in .25mm OS, and I'm not sure I can get the scratches out in that amount. I could for sure get them with .5mm oversized pistons, but those will be another $200 for some forged .5mm OS's , and I don't want to run forged slugs if i can help it...
- the crank has some slight grooving on a few of the journals, and there are a couple of scratches that you can sort of "feel" with your finger nail, maybe .002" - .003" in the deepest ones. Not sure if there are undersized bearings for Honda motors, but these could be turned under <.010" and be perfect. I just don't want to run non-Honda bearings (just **** like that...)

I'm not sure if that would make a good back up motor, or spares motor for someone. I guess if someone wanted to sleeve a block and go to 2.0 liter, this would be a good piece?

I can take some measurements of the bore, taper, mic the journals to get a better idea of how much wear is on it, and definetly take some hi-res pics for anyone interested, just let me know.

Again, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but most of you guys seem pretty die-hard, and might be able to use some good spare parts.

Thanks,
Adrian
