just ordered some rims... i have a question...
i just placed a order for a set of rota slips. 16x7inch 4x100 bolt pattern with tires. 205/45/16... i called and placed the order through mach iii to pick up and i thought i needed a +40 offset for my 97 hatch, but the guy working there said the 45 would fit better. i forgot to mention to him that i have si brake upgrades. does that even matter? will the 45 offset fit my car? sorry, but this is my first time buying rims

the offset doens't ALWAYS determine fitment. the shape and curve of the spokes can also affect caliper fitment.like if its a really straight spoke with no bend towards the back of the wheel. with that slightly higher offet you will have more clearance for lowering, but possibly less for turning. 99% of civics are cake fitments from 38-45mm offsets. and plus, rota is all import fitments. you'll be fine. any wheel/tire questions im here, im a manager at discount tire in Indy.
