!!!HELP MY CAR WONT START AND I THINK ITS MY ALARM!!!
I have a 95 integra and a clifford g4 alarm on it. The alarm has never worked right since I have owned the car. I went to go to the store and my car would not start after I tried it a few times I heard a chirp from my alarm. I checked the battery, all the groundings, and all fuses. Tried to jump it off and roll it off but neither one worked. Checked my plugs they are good. The car is not even turning over and the windows will not work its like the alarm has got the whole system shut down.
well my clifford has a touch pad thing. its two black buttons and you make a code for it, but others have a hidden button in their car. did you install your alarm?? its in there, you have to find it
If you can...try disabling the alarm and start the car. if it starts then the alarm is the problem.
happened to me before. i reset the alarm to default factory settings(enter system programming) and the problem went away.

You can remove the alarm brain if you know where is it at or remove the alarm power connection or whatever. But disconnect the battery first.
Or read the alarm manual, there should be a cleaner way to restore the default setting. Usually it's with the valet switch click it 3 times within 5 seconds something like that.

I had this problem and I just started ripping out wires that attatched to the battery what they were IT WORKED cause I could not start my car and had no power to the car the easiest thing to do is disconnect the alarm.
I disconnected the alarm and it still did not start unless I missed a wire. Someone told me that you had to unhook the alarm in a certain order.
If it's a g4 clifford alarm, then it not only intterupts the starter but also the ignition, that's why you can rolling start it, or use the windows, you need to get it in valet, check your owner's manual...
or reconnect the ign. and starter wires.....

The alarm is a concept 100. I've tried removing the alarm but it still did not start. There is probably a wire loosed or a relay that I cant find but its pissing me off. Someone told me you had to remove the alarm in a certain order. I didnt see any wires going to the starter.
I still say that your alarm has starter kill. If you're removing the alarm, check to see if your starter wire is cut. If it is, just hook it back together and I'll bet it'll start right up. Your starter wire is the thick black wire with a white stripe.

</TD></TR></TABLE>The Concept 100 has a 2 point immobilizer starter and ign. and according to the owners manual, "The engine will remain immobilzed even if a thief were to cut power to the system or find and remove control unit" the fach. valet code is 2, [hopefully it was not changed] on the "Plain View" switch, turn ign. on then press the * button 2 times then the blank one once if the code is right and/or the alarm is working that will put it into valet mode the LED should come on solid and stay on as long as ign. is on. this turns the alarm off and turns off the immobilizers, if this does not work it may be a bad relay or connection.
By the sounds of it, both starter kill and ign. kill are hooked up, and as they are NO, [normaly open] you cant bypass them by unpluging the brain, in fact, the brain has to be hooked up and working, [maybe not working] just hooked up with power, ign. and ground and turned off for the car to start, you will have to remove the alarm and it's wiring and reconnect the OEM starter and ign. wires if you can't get the alarm into "Valet" or if there is a problem with the relays, to find all the connections, follow the wires from the brain to where they are connected into the cars OEM wiring and disconnect them, all the connection will be parallel except the starter wire, [black/white] as B18C_EJ8 said and the ign. wire, [black/yellow] they are a series hook up through a relay in the brain or with an offboard relay, the alarm wires will have to be disconnected and the OEM wires reconnected to each other.
Although this may be a pain, it's easy to find the connections by just following the wires from the brain one by one to where they are connected to the cars OEM wiring and disconnecting them, [ then cover any bare wire with elec. tape] it takes me no more then 1/2 an hour to remove an alarm, repair the OEM wiring, even if its a "full load" alarm and I didn't install it, 2 hours if it was installed properly, [hidden]. good luck

I did what you said but it didnt do anything. the light is not coming on. would the alarm cause the windows not to roll down or the gauges on the instrument panel not to work? my windshield wipers do not work also but everything else does such as radio and lights
are you sure you were able to disable the alarm completely? looks like the alarm is still in place, thus affecting the behaviour of the car.
disconnect the battery and find the brain and remove it. sounds to me something is wrong with the alarm main unit.

Again, the alarm and it's wiring needs to be removed.

The ignition swith is good I put a test light on it. I also test lighted all fuses. The car is not turning over. I unhooked the whole alarm system but the windows and the car is still not turning over. So if its not my alarm what would be causes the problem? If the ignitor is bad or the ignition coil in the distributer is bad whould it cause the windows to quite working to.

Modified by blkgsr3 at 6:29 AM 4/9/2005</TD></TR></TABLE> No non of that would keep the windows from working, when you unhooked the alarm, did you find where the ign. and starter wires had been cut and did you repair them? [reconnect them to each other], also follow the ign. harness down from the switch, and anywere along the way that there is a plug check for power on the downstream side and make sure the plug is plugged in properly, [unplug it and plug it back in again] check the plugs, [ign. harness] at the fuse box, also check and see if you have power ar the starter motor, one of the wires, [the thick one] from batt. is live all the time, the smaller gage one, [the one that just plugs in] should have power on it when you turn the ign, switch to start, try that and let me know
