has anyone ever hook one up for the econotig or is it capable of a plug-n-play add on pulser?

Yes. I have PERSONALLY put a PC300 on an Econotig and it will work just fine.

I have heard that they have stopped making the PC300. It is a FULL featured pulser, not just one that only lets you pick pulses pre second.

The PC300 has a list price of $600, but IF you can still find one around, you may be able to get it cheaper. I got lucky and got mine for $175. Another place I called said they'd sell it for $300, but I can't find the info about where that was.
