How do you deal with wheel rubbing the fender wall.
My car is lowered, not that much. I can fit 2 fingers betweend the tire and the fender. (my suspension is stiff too)
When I take hard turn/turn on a bend/hill with full steering tilt. I get rub with fender wall. However I've seen people lower than mine, so I guess how do u guys do it.
My tire sidewalls are just exactly as wide as the fender (don't know off my head right now). Do you you just get a wheel/tire with thinner width, I've seen some people do custom fender to add a little scoup side.
I dont think this is a problem for 96&up civics (mine's the 94 civic), cause ur fenders are wider.
Just a freelance question, what do you think?

Yes, tire size is big factor in this. Rolling on 18's=

yea good idea, I'm gonna check my tire size, as soon as I get back outside. (dont remember off my head)
Depends on what it is rubbing on . if its the fender itself then roll it.
if its the rubber cover for the wells then you can cut or do what i did and screw it back into the well futher.
or it could be the frame that is rubbing. and for that you need a BFH.

U need a 195/50 15 or a 205/50/15 on a 45 mm offset rim. 195/50 will have no problems using a 38 mm offset wheeel. AKA rota 15X6.5 comes 38 mm offset

I'm not sure what my offset was, my tires are 205/40 Z17, from what you guys are saying it looks like trying a tire with smaller aspect ratio might help. I'm running on 17" rims, and generally thats what I run on for show use. I was gonna get a set of 15"/16" rims like one of those rota sets or something for track later on.
The rubbing is on the fender wall I think(i.e the metal frame).

The fact that my friend's is slammed further and doesn't rub, makes me have to fix mine. I think getting a slight smaller side wall spec will do it. There was one time my alignment was messed up, and it ate up the inner side walls like // instead of ||. So I swapped the tires i.e left and right(u know removed them from the rims, and swap), and then I didn't rub at all after that. So I definately know its the higher side walls.
Hey has anybody thought/know what it would take(most efficient way) to get your fenders done like this kid's

you need to roll your fender if you're using 205/40/17. I roll mine(plastic wall) I heat it up a little bit and remove the replace the thick rubber screws. my drop is 3" or so pretty much all the thread and i have to roll it.
now with 17" rims and full drop i don't rub even at high speed. btw, i also roll a bit edge metal on the fender itself.

17" rims are not made to go on civic, so there for never really made for them.
so chances are the offset is wrong. (35mm- maybe...)
you need atleast minimum 40mm offset
45mm max
sorry to say, but you might have to sell those rims.
what's the point of looking like a baller if you can't turn your car ?
ended up looking like a ricer

Well I'm setting up the car for show. The rims I left for last, until I finished paint job last fall, winter came up, so no rush at all with wheels and salty snow season. Now its summer, so one of the things I wanted to address too was the rubbing, as I wanted to slam it more with better wheels too. The looks are gonna come out right after I finish. some minor things I'm working on here and there.
Well thanks for ur input.

when using my 14" stock wheelies the tires will still rub co'z of the drop.
but after bending the plastic wall and the metal edge of the fender, mine won't rub with 14 or 17" rims.
