Default Del Sol Stealthbox

I just bought a stealth box, and wanted to know if there were any writeups on how to install/wire this. Thanks!

Stealthbox? Does it make your car go invisible?

It's speakers that go behind the seats instead of the storage unit.... http://www.jlaudio.com/stealthbox/delsol.html

you might have better luck from the audio/video forum, but anyways at the bottom of your link (from JL's website) they have a downloable installtion guide (pdf).... it's fairly simple and direct read their dierctions and go to town..... I had a stealthbox before, it's a nice piece of equipment, and shoulg go in fairly fast... takes longer to run the amp wires then install the box....

Ironic that he knew where the item was online, it had a how-to link on that page, and he still didnt see it.
Sure you dont want someone else to install this for you?

I hope you're packing a fire extinguisher in the trunk of your car. Those hot wires LOVE to burn.

that's a smoking deal, they retail for close to 800 last time I checked, I got mine with special consideration from the JL rep (when I was working for an audio shop) for half of cost which set me back almost 250, I sold it later for 450 (without even trying to sell it) and replaced it with 3 solobaric ten's behind the seat...

I have the stealth box for my Sol by JL Audio. First off, when you bought it, it should have come with some foam packing material that you WILL NEED TO KEEP, in order to fill in the "empty wells" underneath the storage compartment.( Should've came with detailed and illustrated instructions) Everything from there is pretty straight foward, as long as you know how to wire an amp and run it to the subs.

The box is actually a nice piece, but i'm probably gonna take mine out soon, it's just way too damn heavy.

"pillow fill" non goose synthetic also, for the wiring use the instructions that came with the amp as well as the instructions I posted earlier up for the JL box. If its too complicated go to your local stereo shop and pay for installation.

Damn this is a pretty sweet idea... I may have to get rid of my JL 10" W6 sub and throw one of these in there...

blah.. correct me if i am wrong 8inch subs in those things... bleh

back when i was a bass head, in my del sol might i add, i threw one 12' JL in the trunk and that **** hit way harder then this a bud of mine rocking the stealth box.

IMO i would not want to give up my back storage compartments good to throw stuff in there when the top was off and lock it up'

whatever'

edit: dyno mat left little to no rattle at all. (no spoiler of course)

I had one 12" jl 12w3 with a 500 watt amp on it, in the trunk and was never happy with the sound, switched to the stealthbox and loved it, very few people guessed they were 8's between the way the box is built/ported and the 8w6's it's an excellent performer, never did satisfy my bass urge until I took it out and dropped 3 10" solobarics behind the back seat, screw the storage bins, minus the two amps and strut bar I've got a full trunk to lock up gear when the traga comes off....
