Default Is there such thing as a Type R Del Sol?

Forgive me fellas. I'm not a ricer or troll or anything similar to it. But, today, as I was driving on the freeway, I noticed a Del Sol that rolled up by me with Del Sol Type R stickers on it.

Now I know stickers don't mean anything, but, is there even such a car in Japan? I never really thought about it because I've never been a fan of Del Sol's, so I don't know much about their background in the homeland.

My guess was the it probably just had the B18C5 motor swapped into it. It sounded modded, so that's why I wasn't doubting it.

That, or again, he was just another ricer added to the list of morons.

The closest thing you can get to a Type-R CRX Del Sol in the US is the Del Sol VTEC. In Europe, this would be the VTi and in Japan it would be the SiR.

B16A3, what mods do you have on your sol? I'm going to school in San Diego right now.

All my friends told me that if I put Type-R stickers on my car they will never speak to me again, even if I do put a complete Type-R swap into my Sol.
They did, however, say that if I got official written permission from Honda of America to SiR badges on my car they would still talk to me.
