hey whats up guys, i know this topic has been beaten to death but the search isnt working right now and i need your guys help, im about to go to the Honda Dealer and pick up an S2k Antenna/with mounting assembly and i was wondering is this an easy mod to do? and about how long is the install time? thanks

 

get a copy on ebay and save yourself lots of $$$

Easy mod, but I lost some radio reception.

 

That looks okay but i would rather have the window one instead and shave the other one.

 

I lost my AM reception when I did this. Don't know why, maybe I hooked it up wrong.

i put on the shark II that you can buy from locustoms. it was like 35$ and much simpler to instal than the s2 oem one.

 

i just bought the s2k antenna replacement from honda. $20. I was able to mount it on the stock base and brackets inside after i yanked the antenna motor out. took about 45 minutes, which involved taking off the side panel, yanking out the motor, wiring the s2k antenna in, and poppin everything back together.

 

will it work for the DA too?

 

I have the shark II as well and it looks nice and install was easy, but AM reception went to ****. FM reception is fine.
