Rep0st, that was in GDD even before GT4 came out. I believe it was determined there was someone behind him actually playing.

you can see his foot breathe the throttle on some of the turns, but I refuse to believe it still

Watch his right foot lifting just before the chicane and braking just before the first right bend.

You can also see him braking and lifting the throttle in the middle of the chicane just before the left bend...

Normally, with a replay you don't see the gold/silver/bronze GT at the end, right? And also the OK/Retry button below it.

He's not shifting himself, that's for sure. In the middle of the chicane the car shifts from 3 to 2, but his left hand was off the wheel.

Hate to believe this but in the last straight his steering response matched the game when he was fighting to center the cones. I believe it.
