And how does it sound?
I just got my car back from the shop and its loud as ****!

3 inch downpipe
3 inch testpipe
3 inche catback with magnaflow muffler
resonator not installed yet

loudness 8.5/10 - this thing is too damn loud!!!

 

using a cat instead of a test pipe will quiet it down and if it really pisses you off use the stock muffler

 

this is the exhaust i will be running. i currently am running open downpipe and it is loud so once i get the full exhaust it shouldnt be as loud anymore

 

3in downpipe with 3in thermal... god i love it, but i always get pulled over. Its not that loud its just deep

 

mine is loud and deep... oh yeah and also LOUD

even though its restrictive, i may just run a high flow cat... keep the cops happier and maybe quiet it down a tad

 

i have a 2.5'' side exit exhaust.

2 resonators.

its pretty quiet.

 

2.5 inch DP flared to 3 inch exhaust no cat with a 24inch resonator.

I personally don't think it's that loud until you get on it. Then again I used to drive a B16 CRX with the exhaust cut off right behind the seats. And by cut off I mean broke off. :-\

 

What do you guys mean by quiet. I'm running a Thermal classic (60mm I think) and no cat, its really not THAT loud but it kind of vibrates my car a bit. Its just really deep sounding. Do you think a resonator would help? I really want a quieter exhaust but without the expense of loosing power.

There are no resonators and it's not really that loud.

 

RS*R GT2 catback, 2.5" piping with stock CAT, sounds deep and loud, no resonators, straight through pipe.

So how loud is it?

 

this is a tough one since we all have different opinions on whats concidered loud. hmm, I wonder what would be more quiet and least restrictive: cat/no resinator, or resinator/no cat??

 

why do people think resonators are restrictive? i'm not too sure about FI but when i was thinking of all motor.. they did the great header test and NO power was lost due to installing a resonator... in fact, they gained what 1-2 whp with a little bit of torque.
