How much does a D15b lsd tranny cost?
Hey,
HMO's website says add an additional $300 for the lsd tranny. I was just wondering how much the actual LSD tranny sells for, seperately from the engine? I'll call them tomorrow, but I'm impatient

You've been misled. The tranny will have to come apart. In addition, I don't believe Honda made an LSD D series tranny. HMO's website says for a hydro tranny, add $150. The LSD upgrade is only available on certain B series motors and B series LSD's won't fit in a D series tranny.
Options for D series LSD's are limited, but they are there. Quaife is always your best bet, but is also stupid expensive. The OBX is apparantly pretty good and is much less harsh on the wallet.

There are D-series oem lsd trannys they are very rare and hard to find. If you find one...your damn lucky!!! If you dont want to search endlessly you can do a Phantom grip lsd, Kaaz lsd, Quaife, OBX they all make D series lsd but have to be installed which means cracking open your tranny.
the jdm d15b had an option of an lsd tranny...i have not found any online site that is willing to sell just the tranny though....
Totaljdm.com has the d15b with lsd, for an additional $300, but they do not sell just the tranny...
good luck finding just a tranny..let me know if you find a place that will part it out...

False, JDM d15b trannys had optional LSDs. I have one sitting in my garage, when I get home, I'm going to rip out the axels and check.

No, it will never fly in cali. It MUST be the same year or newer.
Litterbox, if I were you I would just add LSD to your existing tranny. Try and find someone on H-T that will do it for cheap, cause a shop will charge you out the *** for it. And the LSD in the d15b tranny is not the strongest out there. If you start pushing 200 whp, it won't be there anymore. I've heard good things about OBX, mixed reviews about Quafie.

Turns out, they are very similar with our ex/si trannies so I'll get a y8 tranny because of the steel shift forks. I'm just gonna add an lsd to that.
