Default Best Way to Fix a Broken Lip?

Hey,

I came across a lip today. It's plastic and split in two pieces. What's the best way to fix it? Would super glue be my best bet?

if you really want it you could fiber glass it together.. either go to a body shop or do it urself but, if you want inexpensive work u'd be better off superglueing it just don't plan on keeping it too long

the same thing happened to my friends lip on his eg. one thing you can do is to bondo it together then sand it down so it will be flush.

I'm gonna be fixing this myself. I've never used, or even seen bondo, but isn't it just filler putty? How would that hold two pieces together?

ok if its split in two. use FIBERGLASS. to use fiber glass. its comes in sheets. and you have to buy RESIN and HARDNER. get the fiberglass sheet. cut out the amount you need. put it on a cardboard, and spread the RESIN onto it. before spreading resin. add the hardner to the resin. spread until the fiberglass is soaked. then apply the fiberglass to your lip the outside and inside. use about 5 layers of fiberglass. and get ready to do some major sanding! thats how i would do it!

yea its filler but its strong enough to hold that lip together, and will also last. its kind of hard to work with because it gets hard very fast. it will also work way better than super glue

I saw a plastic welder kit at Harbour Freight. It should do the job.
