my 98 dx has a sputtering problem. its fine when i first start driving, but after driving like 10 miles or so it starts sputtering when i am at lower rpms. when i stop at a light then try to go i have to put it to 3000rpms or it will stall, and sometimes it just stalls when i stop at a light.

I replaced the fuel filter which was in horrible shape and that seemed to fix the problem for a week or so, but now its starting to come back

any ideas?

Try running some fuel injection cleaner through. How are you spark plugs?

 

i had it tuned up about one year ago, i got NGK plugs- how long should they last, and if my fuel filter was extemely clogged up like it was could that kill my plugs- iwas told that it could.
i ran TECHRON through when i replaced the fuel filter.

i have not checked my plugs yet but i will.

same problem in my civic and i just replaced the fuel filter and the spark plugs and it started running good so try changing the plugs...
