hey i bought this 93 civic hatchback and it has the stock d series motor with 160k miles on the odometer. i want to turbo it and im wondering whats a safe psi to work with on stock internals? and around how much hp would i make safely? any quarter mile times people have on their d series turbo motor? thanks.
there are many topics of this so search.
7 psi is a good amount for stock and can make up to 100 hp.

turbo? whats a turbo? i dont think anyone has ever done it.
jk. yes there are a lot of ppl on here that have turboed d series. any where from 5-10 psi is safe with good tuning and fuel managment. stock internals can handle up to 200 hp. do a lot of searching, theres a **** load of 1/4 times ans set ups and ****

I wouldn't worry too much about the miles on your motor. You should do a compression and leak down test and if deemed healthy go ahead and boost it... I am the previous owner of a z6-t with a 60 trim t3@ 10psi untuned but running a hondata basemap that was just a hair lean. The head started lifting which caused some problems with the headgasket. This was after 3 years and close to 60,000 additional miles on top of the original 150k.
