Default How to get.....

Hey guys I currently own a 99 Civic Si. I am looking to get struts and springs to lower the car but just need some help choosing. I would like the drop to look like what is pictured below. Probably about a 1.3" drop. I do not want to get a camber kit and it will be aligned after everything is installed. It doesnt have to be like a sick track setup like the koni yellows. I would like an improvement over stock but it doesnt have to be crazy. Price is a large factor also. What would you guys recomend for a nice setup that is:
Roughly the drop pictured( 1.3"? ) The silver car( the bottom pic) is EXACTLY the amount of drop i am looking for but the springs he owns are only sold in australia. the red car is also nice but he has 17's so i am not sure how that would look with 15's.
No camber Kit
Good ride quality
Improved Handling
Cheap.

I am deciding between KYB AGX and Tokico Illuminas. I am pretty sure I will get the Tokico illuminas though. As for springs I am really unsure but am thinking about the Tein H-tech or eibach (i think its the pro kit). What struts would you recomend? Also what springs would get me what i want? Thanks. ps i did a search but all the threads talk about 2"+ drops not really about 1" drops

I just finished installing some Koni Special (Red) shocks on a 00 Civic EX coupe with an Eibach Pro-kit and it's an extremely smooth ride. Ride height is really good as well, not too low, not too high. I can definitely recommend this setup.

Paul

if your going for a cheap setup i would go with what was stated above... would be a nice improvment over stock while still attaining a nice comfy ride.. if you want to go even cheaper stick with the pro-kit but change to tokico blues.... the tokico illuminas you will only want to get if you desire dampening adjustment if not and you want cheap blues will work just fine

If you dont want your car too low but have that aggressive look and ride nice, get the tein s tech springs. As far as shocks go, KYB gets my vote

The only way to get an 'exact' drop would be to get coilovers. I have about that drop with AGX and Eibach ProKit. It's a little lower in the back, and about the same in the front.

Your car comes lower in the rear than the front (judging by wheel gap) from the factory, and will be that way with most springs. To get an equal gap at all corners (because hondas sit lower on the driver side as well) you'd have to get something adjustable.

thanks for the help so far guys. I have decided on the Tokico illuminas. I am now deciding on which springs to get. I was interested in the TEIN but have heard that they are way to soft. I am looking for a post that listed all the springs and all the drops but i cant seem to find it. If any one has the info please post.
