timing belt
how many miles does it have on it? i would probably just change it if i were you just to be safe if you're not sure when/if it was done. one thing i did, was i called around the local dealers and gave them my VIN and told them i just purchased the vehicle and wanted all the service records. now, this would only work if the vehicle is dealer maintained of course, which mine was. the guy that had the car before me said that he had the timing done, but i wanted to make sure, so i called around and had all the info on my car faxed to me and found that it was done. it made me feel better anyways! so, if you know where the vehicle was serviced, you may be able to do that. good luck!
